I allocate a lot of time and resources to things I care about. Enough to leave me with little to spare for others. Which is fine with me, because I wouldn't want to waste any on something I cannot actually enjoy, just to be able to talk about it and 'fit in'.
I like to make plans to create a sense of order in my life, and dislike waiting for indefinite periods of time. Any uncertainty, such as not knowing whether an event will be actually held or when I will receive payment for my work, irritates me more than anything else.
I find it difficult to get the motivation start on something. By finishing a task in one shot, I can avoid this. Occasionally, leaving something half-done bothers me too.
